Natural medicine

originated in the Alps, saved from oblivion

Medicinal herbs have been significant in the treatment of diseases since ancient times, but knowledge about the types, uses and healing properties of herbs, due to the passage of time and the development of modern medicine is gradually being lost. However, in many countries, traditional recipes and knowledge about the healing power of medicinal herbs are still faithfully preserved. We found such traditional recipes in the Alpine region, the most famous mountainous area in Europe.

It is known that the Alps are remote areas of urban communities and are often inaccessible due to the snow cover. Until the 20th century, people who lived far away in the alpine mountainous areas were left to fend for themselves, without roads, doctors or hospitals, and had to manage and treat themselves. Thus, in the mountainous areas, they found medicinal plants and made recipes for herbal compounds, which are still preserved and used in the treatment of various diseases. The recipes have been passed down for years and jealously guarded for generations, and that includes the knowledge of mixing, application and the effect of alpine herbs.

With the development of modern medicine, traditional knowledge has been lost in some areas. Many recipes have never been recorded in writing, so they have completely disappeared over time, but the so-called. Alpine medicine is jealously guarded by several families of traditional herbalists and healers, and now we want to present it to the whole world.
